F. H O L L A N D D A Y
(July 23, 1864 – November 12, 1933)
F. Holland Day was an influential pioneer in photography. He was one of the first pictorialists in the United States. While other pioneers of pictorialism mostly photographed landscapes, F. Holland Day focused on portraiture and self-portraiture. He is considered by some to be the father of conceptual art in photography.
