MUSIC: "Peaceful Easy Feeling" by the Eagles

EASY PEACEFUL FEELIN' GOOD

A song that has topped all my playlists

A song that has been a major track of

The Soundtrack of my Life

I fondly remember that night

Camping out in Big Bend National Park

Drinking beers with my three Friends

Singing this song around the campfire

Our voices echoing off the canyon walls

Good Times

A special pearl

Of my life's string of pearls

MUSIC: "Can You Feel" by Taxiride

F E E L I N'   G O O D!

My whole life

I've been exploring music

All kinds of music

I just about lived in record stores

(Not many of them around today)

Back in the 90s

I ran across this group from Austraila

Taxiride

I bought their first album, Imaginate,

And really enjoyed it

It was my go to cruise around town CD for awhile

This song in particular has a super feel good sound

And you know how I love me some feel good sound

So

Here's my American Bandstand review:

Great beat - Great Harmony

Easy to Drive to

I give it a 96

MUSIC: "Take It Easy" by the Eagles

FEELIN' GOOD!

Here's one of the songs

That puts me in a good mood

So much history with it

So many good memories

Laugin' and singin' 'round the campfire

Drinkin' beer and smokin' weed

Havin' a hell of a good time

Ah-oooooooooooooo!

MUSIC: "In the Lap of the Gods" by The Alan Parsons Project

POWERFUL CLASSIC

This is one of my favorite APP instrumentals

So much fun to conduct

Starts out slow and mysterious

Finishes in power and majesty

The title, In the Lap of the Gods

Is a line from Homer's Iliad.

The charioteer for Achilles and Patroclus,

Automedon, says the outcome of the battle was

"in the lap of the gods."

Meaning beyond one's control -

'I've done all I can do.

It's now in the lap of the gods.'

MUSIC: "The Ace of Swords" by The Alan Parsons Project

Majestic Classic

This track is from a 16-minute suite of five tracks from the album

The Turn of a Friendly Card

This suite explores the perils of gambling

The lyrics are outstanding

The track I am highlighting today

Is the instrumental section, The Ace of Swords

I especially like it because of its majestic energy and

It has the added flavor of the London Philharmonic

Alan Parsons Project

London Philharmonic Orchestra
