From where did the idea for Parting Shot Come?

When I was in college

I enjoyed a camping / travel magazine called

OUTSIDE

At the end of each edition

They had a final image to end the edition called

Parting Shot
Like this

The idea stuck with me

So that is how I came up with the idea for AOM
