GLORIOUS!!!!
A truly marvelous tenor aria
Matched with
A truly marvelous tenor
Don't quit watching when the applause starts
And don't worry about the "BOOS"
They aren't booing him
They are shouting "Bis, biiis" meaning ENCORE!
Which he graciously gives them
Singing nine more epic high "C's"
What a Beast!
So keep watching to the end
And! I really find listening to the applause thrilling
It is the audience singing back in explosive joy and gratitude
It is a joy to hear
Juan Diego Flórez
sings
"Pour mon âme"
from the opera
La Fille du régiment
by
Gaetano Donizetti
Orchestra of the Carlo Felice Theater
conducted by
Riccardo Frizza
