To me

The holiday of Thanksgiving

Is all about Gratitude

I don't need what "The Corporate" programs me to

Think, Feel, and Do

I don't need to buy, buy, buy

I don't need the expression of my love for others

To be judged upon the amount of money I spend on them

I don't need to be good in order to get a present

I want to be good because it is good to be good

I don't need a perfectly cooked Turkey

Placed upon gold embossed dinnerware

I don't even need a gathering of people

To celebrate Thanksgiving

In fact I don't need to do or have anything

But - 

It is a good time to focus on the things

For which I am truly grateful

So this Holiday weekend

That is what I plan on focusing on

I will celebrate it in my own way

And Not

The Corporate program of Greed

That has been fed to me through our Media

Without all of that

I am Grateful for all that I have

Grateful for this one moment in time

For the people in my life

Thankful for the simple things

For the peanut butter & jelly sandwich on the table

For the Sun that gives life

For the covers that keep me warm at night

For my Love of Music

There are so many things to be thankful for

I am especially thankful for YOU!

Thankful for your Friendship

Thankful for letting me into your life

And to share the love and support we have for each other

Whatever your situation

Forget about the picture of Thanksgiving we've been sold

And make sure to make it YOURS

Celebrate YOU

Celebrate all that you are grateful for

The "Busy-ness" of Giving Thanks Day 

Has caught up with me 

AND

Right in the middle of cooking and cleaning

My dad got a new computer

Which I am now setting up for him

So I am swamped

Unfortunately that means

I didn't have the time to put things together for you

So 

No posts until Monday the 26th

Sorry about that, my Friends

I wish I could be here for you

This would be a great time for you
