AOM Meditations: 102218

~*~

“There is a supernal intelligence behind sexual arousal, the true purpose of which is to create for us ecstatic experiences of our own divinity.”

~John Maxwell Taylor

~*~

“I believe when we’re able to fully own and express ourselves, we are able to tap into a creative power deeply rooted from our sexual energy – which is our creative energy. We’re so sexually loose, and also sexually strained. We don’t understand the creative power we have because we’re so busy using it in all the wrong ways – or worse, not using it at all.”

~Lauryn Doll

~*~

“The completion of the soul's journey is proportionate to our ability to integrate spirituality (the heart) and sexuality (the body).”

~Michael Mirdad
(Sacred Sexuality: A Manual for Living Bliss)

~*~

"Masturbation is a meditation on self-love. So many of us are afflicted with self-loathing, bad body images, shame about our body functions, and confusion about sex and pleasure, I recommend an intense love affair with yourself."

~Betty Dodson

I found an interesting example of
How this photo can evoke a different response
According to the perspective of the viewer
When I found this image
The filename was, "Lonely Man Sunset"
I don't see that at all
I renamed it, "Man in Blissful Solitude Sunset"
Solitude to me is a Great Blessing

I hope you find time in your life
For some Blissful Solitude

Sunsets and Silhouettes: 111417

"The sky was a ragged blaze of red and pink and orange, and its double trembled on the surface of the pond like color spilled from a paintbox. The sun was dropping fast now, a soft red sliding egg yolk, and already to the east there was a darkening to purple."

~Excerpt from Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt

"Looking at a sunset, just for a second you forget your separateness: you are the sunset. That is the moment when you feel the beauty of it. But the moment you say that it is a beautiful sunset, you are no longer feeling it; you have come back to your separate, enclosed entity of the ego. Now the mind is speaking. And this is one of the mysteries, that the mind can speak, and knows nothing; and the heart knows everything, and cannot speak. Perhaps to know too much makes it difficult to speak; the mind knows so little, it is possible for it to speak."

~Osho
