The music of the Alan Parsons Project was a favorite of mine back in my university days. I discovered his music at the end of high school when his Tales of Mystery and Imagination album came out in 1976. I had seen a TV commercial about the album and it interested me so I asked for it for Christmas that year along with Stevie Wonder's Songs in the Key of Life. That was a very good musical Christmas for me. Since 1976, I've bought every Alan Parsons album he put out. I still love his music today.
Here's a track off his EVE album
It is one of my favorite instrumentals
It has Fantastic Layers of Rhythms
I especially love the ripping horns near the end
And the traveling drum riff throughout
"If you listen closely to the instruments you will recognize the Morse code for "EVE", the album title. All the instruments play that code individually." (YouTube Comment)
