Loving Nature Naturally: 051618

"The way we see the world shapes the way we treat it. If a mountain is a deity, not a pile of ore; if a river is one of the veins of the land, not potential irrigation water; if a forest is a sacred grove, not timber; if other species are our biological kin, not resources; or if the planet is our mother, not an opportunity - then we will treat each one with greater respect. That is the challenge, to look at the world from a different perspective."

David Suzuki speaks wisely.

An issue this is always heavy on my heart. I think about how much we have done to the United States alone in the few years since we "invaded" it. Then imagine just how much we have destroyed in our lifetime alone. What will be left for our future generations.

It scares me the way we waste our resources.

Thanks for posting this quote. The picture you posted with it is a great reminder of what we still have and need to protect.
