I am not a big fan of what Christmas has become
It has become massively commercialized
And become more of an
Orgiastic Celebration Worshiping Materialism
We are told "this is the season of giving and love"
But most of those telling us this
Only want to make a profit off our giving
I believe the season of Giving and Love is everyday
While forces in this world say "This IS The Season!"
I say
Everyday is the Season
To Give, to Love, to Forgive, to Help Others,
To show Compassion, To be Joyful, To be at Peace
To take care of one another
To take care of one another
These things we celebrate everyday

All that is said about Christ is a beautiful (if we like it) fairy tale. By cons, it is true that he was born and for me, Christmas is something like a birthday common to all children. It is true that it has become very commercialized, but sharing the joy of the children receiving their gifts justifies that we accept to fall in this yawning trap of being taken for naive fools.
