MLK QUOTES
“Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. Hate multiplies hate, violence multiplies violence, and toughness multiplies toughness in a descending spiral of destruction.”
~*~
“Capitalism does not permit an even flow of economic resources. With this system, a small privileged few are rich beyond conscience, and almost all others are doomed to be poor at some level. That’s the way the system works. And since we know that the system will not change the rules, we are going to have to change the system.”
~*~
“The more there are riots,
the more repressive action will take place,
and the more we face the danger
of a right-wing takeover
and eventually a fascist society.”
~*~
“It may be true
that the law cannot make a man love me,
but it can keep him from lynching me,
and I think that’s pretty important.”
~*~
“Of all the forms of inequality,
injustice in health care
is the most shocking and inhumane.”

Be A King
(@BerniceKing)
Please, politicians: Tomorrow, when you tweet/comment about honoring #MLK, remember that he was resolute about eradicating racism (privilege + power = unjust, discriminatory policies & systems), poverty & war. Then, work to enact policies that reflect your #MLKDay sentiments.

In this special day to ALL Americans, I can only whish you more a «Human Rights» day and time.
More than «Civil Rights», USA is struggling with this «moron» administration with issues for not only black people but ALL whom aren't white-straight-Christian-wealthy Americans.
«45» is bringing SHAME and DISGRACE in your country and many other countries including the «sh**thole» ones are now seeing the REAL face of USA. At least the 35% of those who are «45's» fans.
and MLK was a Republican!
Martin Luther King Jr. was not a Republican. Or a Democrat. King was not a partisan and never endorsed any political candidate. In a 1958 interview, King said “I don't think the Republican party is a party full of the almighty God nor is the Democratic party.
Such a great man! I had no doubt this blog would honor him on this day. Thanks AOM!, and Thank you to Dr. King!
