Namaste Sweetie! 113017

Namaste Sweetie,

Happy Thor's Day!

Happy! Happy! Happy you are here with me.

Yesterday I mentioned
That I have not watched or read the news in over a month
And how healthy and good I feel because of it
I wanted to clarify that a bit
I do keep my ears open to current events
I just don't dwell on them
I know pretty much what's going on
But I keep my focus on the good things in life
Like Beauty, Joy, Peace, Love, Being Kind, etc.
The only TV I watch these days is football games
And I MUTE all the commercials
If I am not researching and putting things together for you
I listen to music, read, meditate, exercise, and watch NetFlix
I am trying to feed myself a better diet of positive energy
It is difficult for me because I was raised on television
But I think it is worth it.
I share this in hopes that all of us
Will be more careful in what media we allow ourselves to consume

OH!
I did find out about that first Naturist paragraph I posted
The one where I couldn't remember if I wrote it or not
Well, it turns out I did NOT write it
LOL
So I went back and credited and linked it
I'm glad I found that out.

I wish you a very Lovely Day, my Friend

Let us continue to promote
Peace and Love
and continue to build
The more Beautiful World
Our Hearts know is Possible

Peace and Love,
AOM

I invite you to join me now in this short Metta Prayer
Radiating the energy of peace and love out to all living beings
Take a few deep breaths to clear your mind
And focus on the here and now
This present moment
Now
Breathe in
Filling your being with peace and love
As you begin each line, breathe out slowly
Breathing these thoughts into the world
Reading, thinking, and feeling the words with peace and love
Sending them from your heart
Giving the energy to yourself and to all living beings
Breathe in and repeat the process for each line

The Sanskrit word Namaste means 'The spirit in me honors the spirit in you.' Whenever you first make eye contact with another person, say 'Namaste' silently to yourself. This is a way of acknowledging that the being there is the same as the being here.

I took you advice years ago on "turning off the news" and it is the best change I ever made in creating a positive environment for me. I understand what you mean about still getting "current events" so you are in the no, I just don't read the details or dwell on things I can't change.

I stopped WATCHING the news about a year ago, and went back to reading the news--a more efficient use of time, as well as a more restful method of keeping well informed. As for efficiency, just watch any news program online; then watch again, reading the transcript. The transcript takes a fraction of the time and contains the same content.
